Behind the Scenes Opportunities
Hospitality Team
A hospitality team member typically volunteers one Sunday per month or for occasional special events. They set up beverages, snacks and paper products as needed. A team member also stays to tidy up after fellowship time. This is a crucial role that supports the Unity community.
Declutter Team
This team is dedicated to keeping the church current, organized and cleaned up! If you enjoy sorting, cleaning, throwing things away and the satisfaction of a de-cluttered environment then this is your home.
Audio Visual Team
Our Audio Visual Ministry Team is dedicated to providing quality audio and visual effects every Sunday morning for our 11am Service. These team members create a seamless experience during Service. They ensure the visual consistency and integrity during the Service and are a crucial part of our Unity community.
Front of Service Opportunities
Platform Assistant
The platform assistant opens service with lighting the Christ Candle, welcoming those attending in person and on FB, offering a greeting to new comers, sharing a prayer or reading of their choice, reading the daily word and introducing the Speaker for the service.
Social Serving Opportunities
Greeter
This is the first person to say hello and welcome people as they arrive for Sunday Service. A smile and friendly greeting are all that you need. Greeters arrive before service and take attendance by head counting during the blessing of the children.
Book Study Leader
If you love to discuss books and grow your spiritual knowledge then this would be a perfect opportunity. The leader chooses a book with approval of Rev Dan, plans the schedule, discussion prompts and chapter assignments.
Prayer Team
Our Prayer Team is a service opportunity for congregants who are called to take the next step in their spiritual development and are willing to make a commitment in their own growth. Prayer Team members pray independently for those who request it and they are also available to pray in person after Sunday Services.
Musical Opportunity
Unity Choir
Unity Choir is a vital and energetic presence in our spiritual community. Its members share various levels of musical experience and a wide variety of activities and interests, all of which are brought together by their love of singing, music and community. We welcome all those who would like to make a JOYFUL noise.
